It initially sounded promising that Rutgers transfer
Eli Carter had left Gainesville without committing to Florida. But he never made it down to College Park, committing to the Gators before the Terps could get him on campus.
Two other transfer candidates are still on the Terps' board. George Mason reserve guard
Vertrail Vaughns is on campus today. According to CBS Sports'
Jeff Goodman, Vaughn has visited North Texas, Georgia Tech and Tulane. He'll be eligible to play his final season immediately.
Another graduate transfer candidate is Baltimore native and Memphis transfer
Antonio Barton. His brother Will spent two years at Memphis before going pro. And as Antonio's minutes dwindled, he decided to take a look at his options. In addition to Maryland, Barton is considering Syracuse and Kansas State, who both lost veteran point guards this offseason.
